Ages 2½ – 6
Montessori
Children learn by doing in a prepared environment — pouring, sorting, tracing, counting and caring for their classroom — while language and early mathematics grow naturally.

The transition to primary school is gentle and structured. Children become fluent readers, confident writers and careful mathematicians while learning how to learn.

Subjects broaden and thinking deepens. Children research, present, compete and lead — leaving Grade 5 ready for the next stage of their education.

Curriculum
A carefully sequenced programme from Montessori through Grade 5, so each year builds on the last and no essential skill is skipped. Details of the curriculum framework followed are shared with parents during admission.
Teaching & learning
Clear explanations, guided practice and plenty of hands-on activity. Teachers plan lessons around what children need to understand, not just what needs to be covered.
Assessment
Ongoing classroom assessment tells teachers what to re-teach; periodic tests and reports tell parents how their child is progressing. Neither is used to pressure young children.
Home learning
Homework is purposeful and age-appropriate — reading every day, short practice tasks in the primary years, and time left over for play and family.
